Agency on Demand was an initiative undertaken to address the needs of our client, Eastman: a producer of automotive and residential window tints and films. Their goals were twofold: to increase the visibility of their brand, and to increase sales of their sun-protection window film through their current distribution network.
Our sales team decided that our approach would be to bolster and increase search visibility by improving organic search results of their vendors via on- and off-page SEO. By improving these small business’ websites, we hoped to not only improve sales for individual shops, but also improve Eastman brand recognition across the country. This tactic was successful in improving sales to their vendors, primarily small window tinting shops across the country.
By either heavily editing or in most cases building new websites, we were able to improve the SEO and conversion rates of the small businesses that Eastman supplied, and likewise increased visibility for the greater Eastman Chemical brand.
Utilizing WordPress, we developed new website copy with proper on-page SEO and aligning website visuals with the Eastman brand, a virtuous circle was created, benefiting the small business owners as well as the Eastman brand.
After fully developing a repeatable strategy, I also conceived, planned, documented, and implemented a successful Maintenance and Security program for these websites. Through a carefully selected small group of paid plugins, I was able to concurrently monitor, maintain, update, and back up over 50 individual WordPress sites with just an hour or two of my time at most each week.
By the time the program began to wind down after only two years, I had designed, developed, and concurrently maintained over 50 websites. Due to the varied desires of the vendors, and the nature of the program, these were not multi-site installations. Each website was still under the full ownership and control of the business owner.
I personally built and deployed the majority of the program’s websites. From domain transfers and hosting setup, to site migrations, we offered a full spectrum of marketing agency options to small businesses which are typically only available to high-budget corporate clients.
So rather than one individual website or graphic, I’m most proud of this ongoing project, simply because of the amount of institutional knowledge developed and the effort I dedicated, not only to achieve something for those small businesses, but as a testament to all I’d really learned to that point.
